My wife and I have not travelled overseas in over 10 years and I was intimidated by all the options out there for booking a safari. I provided my budget and Sara did an amazing job putting together some packages for me to look at and choose from. We communicated back and forth several times and eventually settled on a package. She confirmed everything and we were off and running. I booked our flights to and from the country but once we arrived there was a driver from the airport and everything from the moment we touched down in South Africa until we were wheels up was perfectly curated. Her 3rd parties for tours and transfers were perfect (always early, professional, knowledgeable, and kind). The hotel acknowledged our anniversary thanks to Sara. We stayed at the Victoria & Alfred hotel in Cape Town, then off to Dulini Moya in Sabi Sands, and finally Victoria Falls Island Treehouse in Zimbabwe. I highly recommend all of them.

I did a lot of research and chose Safari.com and was matched with Dolan. I had a general idea of the trip I wanted to plan for my husband, myself, and our two children (19, 21). Dolan was incredible. He listened to what I wanted and make excellent recommendations. Then he helped book it all. Our trip was 16 days and we visited Cape Town, an Elephant sanctuary, and Safari. And everything went incredibly smooth - no hiccups. He even welcomed me when I landed in South Africa and checked in along our trip. A couple of times I needed to change transfer times and he responded immediately. I felt confident he would help us if any issues arose. I wasn't even planning to use a travel company to assist as we are experienced travellers who are used to booking our own arrangements. The cost of going direct with suppliers and going through Safari.com was exactly the same - with the latter you also have outstanding service and advice which makes it pointless to do it yourself. But I felt compelled to leave a shout out for Leigh-Ann Croeser who has been extremely helpful in organising our itinerary for South Africa. Her response to queries was always prompt and professional. When we ultimately wish to travel to East Africa, I know who I will be contacting.
